Resume Parsing

Pitch N Hire provides a robust Resume Parsing module that enables recruiters to import, parse, and manage resumes efficiently within the platform.
This automation eliminates manual data entry, streamlines applicant processing, and allows organized candidate management either in the Talent Pool or under a specific Job Application.

1. Accessing the Resume Parsing Module

To access the module:

  • Navigate to the Resume Parsing tab in the left-side menu.
  • You will land on a listing page that displays uploaded resumes with parsing status and relevant metadata.

Fields on Resume Listing Page:

  • File Name: Name of the uploaded resume.
  • Status: Parsing result (Completed, Pending, etc.).
  • Reason: Message showing success or cause of failure.
  • Created On: Timestamp of upload.
  • Actions: Icons to view structured profile, resume, or related job application.

2. Uploading Resumes

Click on the Import Resumes button at the top-right to begin uploading.

Step 1: Choose Upload Type

Choose one of the following:

  • Talent Pool: Adds resumes to the global candidate database.
  • Job Application: Associates resumes with a selected job.

Step 2: Upload Resume Files

  • Supported formats: .pdf, .docx
  • Max file size: 5 MB
  • Upload multiple files simultaneously
  • Remove any file with the delete icon

3. Credit System

Before uploading, the credit summary is displayed:

  • Each resume costs 0.25 credits
  • Credit Info:
    • Total Files
    • Credits Required
    • Available Credits
    • Remaining Balance after parsing

Click on Confirm & Use Credits to initiate parsing.

4. Resume Processing

A progress bar indicates real-time upload and parsing status.

After successful parsing:

  • Click Finish to return to the dashboard.
  • The parsed resumes appear in the listing with their updated statuses.

5. Viewing Parsed Data & Taking Action

Each uploaded resume has associated action buttons:

  • Candidate Profile: View structured, extracted information.
  • Resume Viewer: Preview the original file.
  • Job Application (if uploaded under job): View application details.
Talent Pool Upload - Ideal for storing resumes for future sourcing. - Resumes show up in the Talent Pool, credits are consumed.
Job Application Upload - Best when resumes are tied directly to an active job listing. - Useful for bulk import from external resume databases.
